Mario Kart DS rebuilt as a Windows program written in Rust. There is no emulator in between.

From your cartridge

The launcher builds the game on your computer from your own dump. Nothing from Nintendo is downloaded or shared.

Nothing to set up

No Visual Studio or Rust install. The launcher fetches a private toolchain and runs the build for you.

Code under GPL-3.0, docs under CC BY-SA 4.0. Readable Rust source is being reconstructed function by function.

   Download

   Get the launcher and extract the zip anywhere.

   Pick your dump

   Open MKDSrust.exe and choose your Mario Kart DS (USA) dump.

   Build, then play

   The first build takes several minutes. After that, press Play.
